In March 2020, I returned to the US with my 2 year old daughter to be with my father during these unsettling times. Before I left London, I seemed to have a stress headache, had a few instances of short breath — which in the past, has been attributed to early hay fever in this country of botanical beauties — and felt like I was coming down with a fever, but never did. Upon arrival, I felt more tired than usual, but attributed it to my jet lag and my fighting the flue that never materialized.
It turns out that I must have had Covid then, as I had positive antibodies in June! Wow … none of the symptoms and basically asymptomatic at the age of 49. None of the my friends reported the same. Furthermore, I still had high antibodies when I was last tested for them in December 2020.
This make me think … is this an accident? I don’t know …. but, I do know, that I still take 12-15 supplements a day that seek to keep my body in balance and my gut happy. Maybe this protocol did make me more resilient and efficient in terms of retaining memory of the virus in my body. Evidence seems to say that antibodies are usually retained 3-6 months, and some people never develop them …. which is a separate subject all together.
Anyway, food for thought …. my thyroid antibodies are also still normal … so, all around good news … to keep taking my supplements and going for a fine-tune with my doctor very 6 months.
